Kittens are the most irresistible and delicate creatures, but the small ones just love to explore without being aware of their own safety. So taking good care of them is essential or else there are high chances that they could suffer from accidents. Therefore, we have come up with the following caring tips for you.
1. Getting your home ready:
You don’t need a complete makeover of your home to get kittens on board. Things are rather simple actually:
• Cover holes and places where the kittens could get into trouble.
• Place a litter box in the room where the kittens will be kept during the first few days.
• Cat toys, a blanket, shallow plates and a bed are all you need in the beginning.
2. Feeding:
Selecting the right food for the kittens is the most difficult task in cat parenting. There are wet food and dry food to be chosen from depending on the kitten’s preference. Go for kitten formulation that offers all necessary nutrition, especially taurine and certain essential amino acids which are indispensable for cat’s general wellbeing, such as supporting brain, eye and heart function, digestion and healthy immune system.
Place food in shallow plates for easy reach and provide freshwater near the food. Feed your kittens with baby food as per the following schedule:
• Up to six months: three to four times a day
• Six to nine months: twice a day
